Langdon is back, this time he is brought in by the Vatican who need his help to decipher a message designed by the mysterious Illuminati. Okay, first of all any story with the Illuminati should be a good one, in my opinion, as its about a group of people bound by secrets.I understand it is supposed to be a thriller and a 'puzzle' if you will, but honestly the statues pointing...That's when I started to laugh, the whole film is overblown, the ending with Mcgregor was very heroic and ridiculous when he survives the initial explosion.Tom Hanks is one actor that I can always watch, because he is a master of his craft, but he seems to fall short, and there's one reason the script and plot is not very good.

only surprise - presence of Tom Hanks. after Da Vinci Code, a new Dan Brown experience is , totally, to much. same fake story. and hard work of actors to save it. because, not only anti-Christian thesis, silly conspiracies, unrealistic adventures, Vatican as hornets nest, predictable end are problems but the desire to exploit a trend. result - a film only for fans of Brown. out of artistic virtues, elementary logic, it is only slice of fashion. is it enough ? I do not know. maybe, masterpiece for future generations,today, for me, it remains only a fake movie, without any quality ( except good intentions of few actors )

This got good reviews here.I didn't like it much.Way to overly complicated.As well as being very very very very very talkie.I was rather bored from the beginning. Some of the dialog is actually laughable.The plot:Following the murder of a physicist, Father Silvano Bentivoglio, a symbolist, Robert Langdon, and a scientist, Vittoria Vetra, are on an adventure involving a secret brotherhood, the Illuminati. Clues lead them all around the Vatican, including the four altars of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. An assassin, working for the Illuminati, has captured four cardinals, and murders each, painfully. Robert and Vittoria also are searching for a new very destructive weapon that could kill millions.
